1. clear; distinct; easy to perceive or understand

   老师写的字很清楚，我能看懂。 lǎoshī xiě de zì hěn qīngchǔ wǒ néngkàndǒng — The characters the teacher wrote are very clear; I can understand them.

2. to understand thoroughly; to be clear about

   我把问题问清楚了，他就明白了。 wǒ bǎ wèntí wèn qīngchǔ le tā jiù míngbái le — I asked the question clearly, and then he understood.
