浓厚 — nónghòu

1. dense; thick (fog, clouds, smoke)

   今天早上雾很浓厚，能见度很低。 jīntiān zǎoshàng wù hěn nónghòu néngjiàndù hěn dī — The fog was very thick this morning; visibility was low.

2. to have a strong interest in; keen (interest, enthusiasm)

   他对历史有很浓厚的兴趣，经常去博物馆。 tā duì lìshǐ yǒu hěn nónghòu de xìngqù jīngcháng qù bówùguǎn — He has a strong interest in history and often goes to museums.

3. deep; profound (feeling, atmosphere)

   会议上大家讨论得很深入，气氛也很浓厚。 huìyì shàng dàjiā tǎolùn dé hěn shēnrù qìfēn yě hěn nónghòu — At the meeting people discussed in depth, and the atmosphere was intense.

4. fully saturated (color); rich (tone)
