1. to splash; to spill (liquid)

   他不小心把水泼到了桌子上。 tā bùxiǎo xīn bǎ shuǐ pōdào le zhuōzi shàng — He accidentally spilled water on the table.

2. rough and coarse; splashy (manner)

   他说话很泼，听着不太礼貌。 tā shuōhuà hěn pō tīng zhe bù tài lǐmào — He speaks roughly; it sounds impolite.

3. brutish; aggressive; rude

   那些人的行为很泼，让人害怕。 nàxiē rén de xíngwéi hěn pō ràng rén hàipà — Those people's behavior is brutish and scary.
