没法儿 — méifǎr

1. can't do anything about it; there's no way to solve/change the situation

   现在车坏了，没法儿去开会了。 xiànzài chē huài le méifǎér qù kāihuì le — The car's broken now; there's no way to go to the meeting.

2. there's no way that ... (used to express impossibility or refusal)

   他说自己能三天做完那份工作？没法儿吧！ tā shuō zìjǐ néng sāntiān zuò wán nàfèn gōngzuò méifǎér ba — He says he can finish that job in three days? No way!

3. it's simply not credible that ... (expressing disbelief)

   他居然说自己没做过？没法儿信啊。 tā jūrán shuō zìjǐ méi zuò guò méifǎér xìn a — He actually says he didn't do it? I simply can't believe that.

4. couldn't be (better) — i.e. simply wonderful, used ironically or emphatically

   这顿饭做得没法儿了，太香了！ zhè dùnfàn zuò dé méifǎér le tài xiāng le — This meal turned out incredibly well—it smells amazing!
