   这张桌子的材质很好，木纹很美。 zhè zhāng zhuōzi de cáizhì hěn hǎo mùwén hěnměi — This table has good wood texture; the grain is beautiful.

2. quality of a material (e.g. fabric, leather); how good or comfortable the material is

   这件衣服的材质不舒服，容易起球。 zhèjiàn yīfú de cáizhì bù shūfú róngyì qǐqiú — The material of this garment is uncomfortable and pills easily.

3. the material that something is made of

   桌子的材质是橡木。 zhuōzi de cáizhì shì xiàngmù — The table is made of oak.
