2. dutiful; behaving within one's bounds; not ambitious or showy

   邻居们都说他为人本分，踏实可靠。 línjūmen dōu shuō tā wéi rén běnfèn tàshí kěkào — The neighbors all say he's a dutiful, dependable person.
