   君子以文会友，暨以道义相辅。 jūnzǐ yǐwénhuìyǒu jì yǐ dàoyì xiāngfǔ — A gentleman uses culture to make friends, and also supports one another with moral principles.

2. literary: up to; as far as (indicating extent or limit)

   暨今尚未得良方治之。 jì jīn shàngwèi dé liángfāng zhì zhī — Up to now there has still been no effective remedy to cure it.
