   他暗示我不要辞职，可我还是决定走自己的路。 tā ànshì wǒ búyào cízhí kě wǒ háishì juédìng zǒu zìjǐ de lù — He hinted that I shouldn't quit, but I decided to follow my own path.

2. a hint; an insinuation; a suggestion

   他说话里的暗示很明显，大家都懂他的意思。 tā shuōhuà lǐ de ànshì hěn míngxiǎn dàjiā dōu dǒng tā de yìsi — The hints in what he said were obvious; everyone understood his meaning.
