1. to dry in the air; to air (clothes)

   她把衣服晾在阳台上。 tā bǎ yīfú liàng zài yángtái shàng — She hung the clothes out to dry on the balcony.

2. to cold-shoulder; to give someone the cold shoulder

   他因为那件事被同事们晾在一边。 tā yīnwèi nàjiànshì bèi tóngshì men liàng zài yībiān — Because of that matter he was cold-shouldered by his colleagues.
