1. prosperous; flourishing; booming (of business, trade, etc.)

   这家店生意很旺。 zhèjiā diàn shēngyì hěn wàng — Business at this shop is booming.

2. (of plants/flowers) flourishing; in full bloom

   窗台上的花开得很旺。 chuāngtáishàng de huākāi dé hěn wàng — The flowers on the windowsill are in full bloom.

3. (of fire) roaring; fierce; (of flames) strong

   屋子里火势很旺，大家赶快撤离。 wūzilǐ huǒshì hěn wàng dàjiā gǎnkuài chèlí — The fire inside is raging; everyone evacuate quickly.
