2. to emit; to give off (smell, light, heat)

   厨房里散发着一股香味。 chúfáng lǐ sànfà zhe yīgǔ xiāngwèi — A fragrant smell is coming from the kitchen.

3. to issue; to distribute (documents, notices)

   政府散发了新的通知，要求注意防疫措施。 zhèngfǔ sànfà le xīn de tōngzhī yāoqiú zhùyì fángyì cuòshī — The government issued a new notice requiring attention to epidemic prevention measures.
