1. professor

   他是大学里的教授，教历史。 tā shì dàxué lǐ de jiàoshòu jiào lìshǐ — He is a professor at the university and teaches history.

2. to instruct; to lecture on (a subject)

   她在大学里教授物理。 tā zài dàxué lǐ jiàoshòu wùlǐ — She teaches physics at the university.
