2. to acquire or take over (a company or equity)

   那家公司被一家外资企业收购了。 nàjiā gōngsī bèi yījiā wàizīqǐyè shōugòu le — That company was acquired by a foreign firm.

3. acquisition; takeover (the act or result of acquiring)

   这笔收购是近年来规模最大的一次并购案。 zhèbǐ shōugòu shì jìnniánlái guīmó zuìdà de yīcì bìnggòuàn — This acquisition is the largest merger-and-acquisition deal in recent years.
