   门轴有摩擦，关起来很费力。 mén zhóu yǒu mócā guān qǐlái hěn fèilì — The door hinge has friction; it's hard to close.

2. fig. friction; disagreement or conflict between people or groups

   两国之间出现了外交摩擦，需要通过谈判解决。 liǎngguózhījiān chūxiàn le wàijiāo mócā xūyào tōngguò tánpàn jiějué — Diplomatic friction has arisen between the two countries and needs to be resolved through talks.
