2. photography (the art or practice of taking and processing photographs)

   他在大学主修摄影。 tā zài dàxué zhǔxiū shèyǐng — He majored in photography at university.

3. to shoot (a movie or film)

   他们计划下个月在上海摄影这部电影的外景。 tāmen jìhuà xiàgèyuè zài shànghǎi shèyǐng zhèbù diànyǐng de wàijǐng — They plan to shoot the film's exterior scenes in Shanghai next month.
