   把钥匙插进锁里。 bǎ yàoshi chājìn suǒ lǐ — Insert the key into the lock.

2. to pierce; to stab through

   他不小心把手插破了。 tā bùxiǎo xīn bǎshǒu chā pò le — He accidentally pierced his hand.

3. to take part in; to join in; to interfere; to interpose

   别插手别人的事情。 bié chāshǒu biérén de shìqíng — Don't interfere in other people's affairs.
