提纲 — tígāng

1. outline; general plan or summary of the main points

   老师让我们先写一份提纲，再开始写论文。 lǎoshī ràng wǒmen xiān xiě yīfèn tígāng zài kāishǐ xiě lùnwén — The teacher asked us to write an outline first, then start writing the paper.

2. synopsis; brief summary of a text or talk

   电影节的提纲写得很简洁，观众很快就了解了内容。 diànyǐngjié de tígāng xiě dé hěn jiǎnjié guānzhòng hěnkuài jiù liǎojiě le nèiróng — The festival synopsis was written concisely; the audience quickly understood the content.

3. notes; key points jotted down as reminders

   会议中我做了几个提纲，以便之后复习要点。 huìyì zhōng wǒ zuò le jǐgè tígāng yǐbiàn zhīhòu fùxí yàodiǎn — I made a few notes during the meeting to review the key points later.
