   她捧着一杯热茶，慢慢地喝着。 tā pěng zhe yībēi rèchá mànmàn dì hē zhe — She held a cup of hot tea with both hands and drank slowly.

2. to flatter; to boost or sing the praises of someone (often publicly)

   他到处有人捧，才会变得这么有名。 tā dàochù yǒurén pěng cái huì biàndé zhème yǒumíng — He is being promoted (praised) by people everywhere, which is why he became so famous.

3. classifier for what can be held in both hands (a handful / a bunch)

   她收到了朋友送来的一捧鲜花。 tā shōudào le péngyǒu sònglái de yī pěng xiānhuā — She received a bunch of flowers sent by a friend.
