   不要跟他过多争论，他只是想挑衅你。 búyào gēn tā guò duō zhēnglùn tā zhǐshì xiǎng tiǎoxìn nǐ — Don't argue too much with him; he's just trying to provoke you.

2. provocation; an act or remark intended to annoy or provoke

   他的那番话被视为严重的挑衅。 tā de nà fānhuà bèi shìwéi yánzhòng de tiǎoxìn — His remarks were seen as a serious provocation.
