拧 — níng

1. to pinch; to wring

   他拧了下布把水拧出来了。 tā níng le xià bù bǎ shuǐ níng chūlái le — He wrung the cloth to get the water out.

拧 — nǐng

1. to twist; (colloquial) to get something wrong, to misstate

   别把话拧成那样，她没那个意思。 bié bǎ huà níngchéng nàyàng tā méi nàge yìsi — Don't twist her words like that; she didn't mean it.

拧 — nìng

1. stubborn; obstinate

   他很拧，谁劝都不听。 tā hěn níng shuí quàn dōu bù tīng — He is very stubborn; he won't listen to anyone's advice.
