1. to emulate; to imitate

   他的画风颇拟古人，韵味十足。 tā de huàfēng pǒ nǐ gǔrén yùnwèi shízú — His painting style closely emulates the ancients and is full of charm.

2. to plan to; to draft (a plan)

   我们拟在下个月启动项目。 wǒmen nǐ zài xiàgèyuè qǐdòng xiàngmù — We plan to launch the project next month.

3. to imitate; to mimic

   小孩子喜欢拟大人的动作。 xiǎoháizi xǐhuān nǐ dàrén de dòngzuò — Children like to mimic adults' actions.

4. to assess; to compare
