1. to refract (change direction of a wave, e.g. light)

   玻璃会折射光线。 bōlí huì zhéshè guāngxiàn — Glass refracts (bends) light.

2. refraction (the phenomenon/result of refracting)

3. to reflect (figuratively: to reveal or indicate the nature of something)
