1. to express (one's) emotions; to give vent to feelings

   她在诗里抒情，表达了对故乡的深切怀念。 tā zài shī lǐ shūqíng biǎodá le duì gùxiāng de shēnqiè huáiniàn — She expresses her feelings in the poem, conveying deep nostalgia for her hometown.

2. lyrical; expressive of feeling (often used of art, literature, music)

   这首歌的旋律很抒情，容易打动听众。 zhè shǒugē de xuánlǜ hěn shūqíng róngyì dǎdòng tīngzhòng — The melody of this song is very lyrical and easily moves listeners.
