1. to doze; to nod off (erhua variant of 打盹)

   昨天开会我打盹儿了，差点错过重要信息。 zuótiān kāihuì wǒ dǎdǔnér le chàdiǎn cuòguò zhòngyào xìnxī — I dozed off during the meeting yesterday and almost missed important information.

2. erhua variant note: same meaning as 打盹 (used to mark casual spoken tone)

   老人坐在椅子上打盹儿，没听见门铃响。 lǎorén zuòzài yǐzi shàng dǎdǔnér méi tīngjiàn ménlíng xiǎng — The old man dozed off in his chair and didn't hear the doorbell.
