打倒 — dǎdǎo

1. to overthrow (a government, regime, etc.)

   人民要求打倒腐败的官员。 rénmín yāoqiú dǎdǎo fǔbài de guānyuán — The people demand the overthrow of corrupt officials.

2. to knock down; to knock over (physically)

   他不小心把花瓶打倒了。 tā bùxiǎo xīn bǎ huāpíng dǎdǎo le — He accidentally knocked over the vase.

3. slogan: 'Down with ...!' (used to call for the removal of something/person)

   示威者高喊“打倒腐败！” shìwēizhě gāohǎn dǎdǎo fǔbài — The demonstrators shouted 'Down with corruption!'
