感冒 — gǎnmào

1. to catch a cold; to come down with a cold

   我昨天淋雨，今天感冒了。 wǒ zuótiān línyǔ jīntiān gǎnmào le — I got caught in the rain yesterday and caught a cold today.

2. (a) cold (common cold)

   他得了感冒，要休息几天。 tā dé le gǎnmào yào xiūxī jǐtiān — He has a cold and needs to rest for a few days.

3. (colloquial, often in the negative) to be interested in; (lit.) to 'catch' someone — used as 'not care for' or 'not into'

   这个工作我不感冒。 zhège gōngzuò wǒ bù gǎnmào — I'm not interested in this job.
