1. idea; opinion; meaning

   你的意思是什么？ nǐ de yìsi shì shénme — What is your meaning?/What do you mean?

2. wish; desire; intention

   我说这句话没有别的意思，只是想提醒你注意安全。 wǒ shuō zhè jù huà méiyǒu biéde yìsi zhǐshì xiǎng tíxǐng nǐ zhùyìānquán — I didn't mean anything else by saying that — I just wanted to remind you to stay safe.

3. interest; fun; something enjoyable

   做这个游戏没有意思。 zuò zhège yóuxì méiyǒu yìsi — This game is not fun.

4. a small token of appreciation or affection

   这是一点小意思，请收下。 zhè shì yìdiǎn xiǎoyìsi qǐng shōuxià — This is a small token; please accept it.
