想 — xiǎng

1. to think (about); to consider; to reflect

   我在想这个问题。 wǒ zài xiǎng zhège wèntí — I'm thinking about this question.

2. to believe; to be of the opinion (that)

   我想他现在还没到。 wǒ xiǎng tā xiànzài hái méidào — I think he hasn't arrived yet.

3. to desire; to want (to do something)

   我想吃中国菜。 wǒ xiǎng chī zhōngguó cài — I want to eat Chinese food.

4. to miss (feel wistful about someone's absence)

   他走后我很想他。 tā zǒu hòu wǒ hěn xiǎng tā — After he left I missed him a lot.
