1. to suspend; to hang (something up)

   他把牌匾悬挂在大门上。 tā bǎ páibiǎn xuánguà zài dàmén shàng — He hung the plaque above the main gate.

2. (automotive) suspension; the system of springs/shock absorbers

   汽车的悬挂系统需要定期检查。 qìchē de xuánguà xìtǒng xūyào dìngqījiǎnchá — The car's suspension system needs regular inspection.
