恶 — è

1. evil; vicious; fierce; ugly; coarse

   他的行为非常恶，大家都很反感。 tā de xíngwéi fēicháng è dàjiā dōu hěn fǎngǎn — His behavior is very evil; everyone feels disgusted.

2. to harm; to do evil to

   不要恶人之心，当好人做事。 búyào èrén zhī xīn dānghǎo rén zuòshì — Do not harbor an evil heart; act like a good person.

恶 — ě

1. nauseous; to feel sick (used only in the compound 恶心)

   他吃了不新鲜的东西，觉得很恶心。 tā chī le bù xīnxiān de dōngxī juéde hěn ěxīn — He ate something not fresh and felt very nauseous.

恶 — wù

1. to hate; to loathe

   他存心作恶，最终受到法律的惩罚。 tā cúnxīn zuòè zuìzhōng shòudào fǎlǜ de chéngfá — He deliberately did evil and was eventually punished by law.

2. ashamed; to feel ashamed (contextual, classical/archaic)

   他因失言而深感恶，整日不肯出门。 tā yīn shīyán ér shēngǎn è zhěngrì bùkěn chūmén — He felt deeply ashamed because of his slip of the tongue and refused to leave home all day.

3. to fear; to dread; (also) to slander (less common senses)

   百姓恶暴政，盼望明君治世。 bǎixìng è bàozhèng pànwàng míng jūn zhìshì — The common people feared tyranny and longed for an enlightened ruler to govern.
