1. urgent

   情况十分急促，需要立即处理。 qíngkuàng shífēn jícù xūyào lìjí chǔlǐ — The situation is very urgent and needs to be dealt with immediately.

2. hurried; done in a rush

   他说话很急促，像是赶时间。 tā shuōhuà hěn jícù xiàngshì gǎnshíjiān — He spoke hurriedly, as if he were pressed for time.

3. brief (in manner or duration); terse

   他的解释很急促，听起来不够详细。 tā de jiěshì hěn jícù tīng qǐlái bùgòu xiángxì — His explanation was brief and sounded insufficiently detailed.
