1. the place or area directly below something; underneath

   桌子底下有一只猫。 zhuōzi dǐxià yǒu yīzhī māo — There is a cat under the table.

2. afterwards; later (in time)

   我们先吃饭，底下再谈工作细节。 wǒmen xiān chīfàn dǐxià zài tán gōngzuò xìjié — Let's eat first, and afterwards discuss the work details.
