   今天晚上公司有活动，我得去应酬一下。 jīntiān wǎnshàng gōngsī yǒu huódòng wǒ dé qù yìngchóu yīxià — The company has an event tonight; I have to attend/socialize a bit.

2. a social engagement; dinner party; banquet (an occasion for entertaining or maintaining relationships)

   那次应酬持续到深夜，大家都累得不行。 nàcì yìngchóu chíxù dào shēnyè dàjiā dōu lèidé bùxíng — That social engagement lasted until late at night; everyone was exhausted.
