   他把被子放在床上休息。 tā bǎ bèizi fàngzài chuángshàng xiūxī — He put the quilt on the bed and rested.

2. bed; bottom (of rivers, oceans, gardens, etc.)

   河床在雨季时会被淤泥覆盖。 héchuáng zài yǔjì shíhuì bèi yūní fùgài — The riverbed gets covered with silt during the rainy season.

3. frame; chassis

   这台车床的精度很高。 zhè tái chēchuáng de jīngdù hěn gāo — This lathe has very high precision.

4. classifier (for blankets, quilts, etc.)

   他买了两床被子。 tā mǎi le liǎngchuáng bèizi — He bought two quilts.
