干脆 — gāncuì

1. candid; direct and to the point; blunt

   他说话很干脆，从不拐弯抹角。 tā shuōhuà hěn gāncuì cóng bù guǎiwānmòjiǎo — He speaks very candidly and never beats around the bush.

2. simply; just (used to state something plainly)

   他干脆说不去了，省得再解释。 tā gāncuì shuō bù qù le shěngde zài jiěshì — He simply said he wasn't going, to avoid further explanation.

3. might as well; used to propose a straightforward option

   既然都晚了，不如干脆在这儿住一晚吧。 jìrán dōu wǎn le bùrú gāncuì zài zhèér zhù yīwǎn ba — Since it's already late, we might as well stay here for one night.
