干 — gān

   天气很干，记得多喝水。 tiānqì hěn gàn jìde duōhēshuǐ — The weather is very dry; remember to drink more water.

2. dried food

   超市里有各种干果和干菜。 chāoshì lǐ yǒu gèzhǒng gānguǒ hé gāncài — The supermarket has various dried fruits and vegetables.

3. empty; hollow

   井里的水都干了。 jǐng lǐ de shuǐ dōu gàn le — The water in the well has all dried up.

4. to cold-shoulder; to ignore (dialect); blunt; rude (dialect)

   他说话太干，让人下不来台。 tā shuōhuà tài gàn ràng rén xiàbùláitái — He speaks too bluntly and leaves people no way out.

5. to have to do with; to concern; related to (bound form)

   这个问题与财务无干，请不要混淆。 zhège wèntí yǔ cáiwù wú gān qǐng búyào hùnxiáo — This issue has nothing to do with finance; please don't confuse them.
