巧合 — qiǎohé

1. a coincidence; an accidental concurrence of events

   这真是一个巧合，我们竟然穿了同样的衣服。 zhè zhēnshì yígè qiǎohé wǒmen jìngrán chuān le tóngyàng de yīfú — What a coincidence — we even wore the same clothes.

2. coincidental; happening by chance (used to describe events or circumstances)

   这两个发现看起来只是巧合，但需要进一步验证。 zhè liǎnggè fāxiàn kànqǐlái zhǐshì qiǎohé dàn xūyào jìnyíbù yànzhèng — The two findings seem merely coincidental, but further verification is needed.

3. to coincide; to happen at the same time or agree in some respect
