1. to taste; to try (food)

   你尝一尝这个汤味道怎么样。 nǐ chángyīcháng zhège tāng wèidào zěnmeyàng — Try this soup and see how it tastes.

2. to experience (an emotion, situation)

   他尝到了失败的滋味。 tā chángdàole shībài de zīwèi — He has tasted the feelings of failure.

3. (literary) ever; once

   他未尝想过自己会有这一天。 tā wèicháng xiǎng guò zìjǐ huì yǒu zhè yītiān — He had never once imagined he would see this day.
