1. small in number; few

   参加会议的人数很少，只有少数代表到场。 cānjiā huìyì de rénshù hěnshǎo zhǐyǒu shǎoshù dàibiǎo dàochǎng — The number of people attending the meeting was very small; only a few representatives were present.

2. minority (a smaller group within a population)
