小数 — xiǎoshù

1. the part of a number to the right of the decimal (radix) point; decimal (fractional) part

   小数部分用小数点后面的数字表示。 xiǎoshù bùfèn yòng xiǎoshùdiǎn hòumiàn de shùzì biǎoshì — The decimal part is indicated by the digits after the decimal point.

2. decimal fraction; a fraction expressed in base ten (e.g., 0.5)

   0.75 是一个常见的小数。 0 7 5 shì yígè chángjiàn de xiǎoshù — 0.75 is a common decimal fraction.

3. a number between 0 and 1

   概率通常表示为介于0和1之间的小数。 gàilǜ tōngcháng biǎoshì wèi jièyú 0 hé 1 zhījiān de xiǎoshù — Probabilities are usually expressed as decimals between 0 and 1.

4. a small figure; a small amount (colloquial)
