1. to handle; to deal with; to tackle (a problem or task)

   这件事很棘手，你打算怎么对付？ zhèjiàn shì hěn jíshǒu nǐ dǎsuàn zěnme duìfù — This matter is tricky — how do you plan to deal with it?

2. to get by with; to make do; to cope (with limited means or resources)

   没有足够的钱，我们就得想办法对付这一个月。 méiyǒu zúgòu de qián wǒmen jiù dé xiǎng bànfǎ duìfù zhè yígèyuè — We don't have enough money — we'll have to find a way to get by this month.

3. (dialect, usually used in the negative) to get along with (someone); to be able to tolerate

   我和他不太对付，常常吵架。 wǒ hé tā bù tài duìfù chángcháng chǎojià — I don't really get along with him; we often argue.
