1. dense; compact; close together; thick (of fog, crowd, etc.)

   早晨的雾很密，看不清前面的路。 zǎochén de wù hěn mì kànbùqīng qiánmiàn de lù — The morning fog is very dense; you can't see the road ahead clearly.

2. intimate; close (relationship); secretive; private (in compounds)

   他们的关系很密，几乎无话不谈。 tāmen de guānxì hěn mì jīhū wúhuàbùtán — Their relationship is very close; they almost share everything.

3. secret; confidential (often in compounds like 秘密 or 机密)

   这份文件包含机密信息，不得外传。 zhèfèn wénjiàn bāohán jīmìxìnxī bùdé wàizhuàn — This document contains confidential information and must not be distributed.

4. Internet slang: to send a private message to someone; to DM

   有事你就密我吧。 yǒushì nǐ jiù mì wǒ ba — If something comes up, just DM me.

5. surname Mi
