宝藏 — bǎozàng

1. precious mineral deposits

   这片山脉被认为有丰富的宝藏，正开展地质勘探。 zhè piàn shānmài bèi rènwéi yǒu fēngfù de bǎozàng zhèng kāizhǎn dìzhìkāntàn — This mountain range is thought to contain rich mineral deposits; geological surveys are underway.

2. hidden treasure (literal)

   他们在古井旁挖出了一个年代久远的宝藏。 tāmen zài gǔjǐng páng wāchū le yígè niándàijiǔyuǎn de bǎozàng — They dug up an age-old treasure beside the old well.

3. (fig.) a treasure; something or someone very valuable or delightful

   这个小镇的老书店是个宝藏，常常能淘到好书。 zhège xiǎozhèn de lǎo shūdiàn shì gè bǎozàng chángcháng néng táo dào hǎoshū — The town's old bookstore is a treasure; you can often find good books there.

4. (Buddhism) the treasure of Buddha's law

   僧人们在讲经时常提到佛法宝藏的重要性。 sēng rénmen zài jiǎngjīng shícháng tídào fófǎ bǎozàng de zhòngyàoxìng — Monks often mention the importance of the treasure of Buddha's law when giving sermons.
