   我们需要定时开会讨论这个问题。 wǒmen xūyào dìngshí kāihuìtǎolùn zhège wèntí — We need to schedule a meeting to discuss this issue.

2. at a fixed time; regular; timed

   他有一个定时的锻炼计划，每天早上七点跑步。 tā yǒu yígè dìngshí de duànliàn jìhuà měitiān zǎoshàng qīdiǎn pǎobù — He has a regular exercise schedule; he runs every morning at 7.

3. timed (e.g., of an explosive or device) to go off at a set time

   警方查获了一个定时炸弹并及时拆除。 jǐngfāng cháhuò le yígè dìngshízhàdàn bìng jíshí chāichú — The police discovered a timed bomb and defused it in time.
