嫩 — nèn

1. young; tender (of plants, skin)

   嫩芽刚从土里钻出来。 nènyá gāng cóng tǔlǐ zuānchūlái — Tender shoots have just come out of the soil.

2. tender; lightly cooked (of food)

   这块牛肉很嫩，很好吃。 zhèkuài niúròu hěn nèn hěn hǎochī — This piece of beef is very tender and delicious.

3. light (of color); pale

   她喜欢嫩绿色的连衣裙。 tā xǐhuān nènlǜsè de liányīqún — She likes light green dresses.

4. inexperienced; unskilled (of a person)

   他在这方面很嫩，还需要练习。 tā zài zhèfāngmiàn hěn nèn hái xūyào liànxí — He is inexperienced in this area and still needs practice.
