姑娘 — gūniang

1. girl; young woman; young lady

   他有三个姑娘，最大的二十岁了。 tā yǒu sāngè gūniáng zuìdà de èrshísuì le — He has three daughters; the oldest is twenty years old.

2. daughter (used in some dialects or older usage)

   老王家的姑娘已经嫁到外地去了。 lǎo wángjiā de gūniáng yǐjīng jiàdào wàidì qù le — Old Wang's daughter has already married and moved away.

3. paternal aunt (old usage)

   古书里把父亲的妹妹称作姑娘。 gǔshū lǐ bǎ fùqīn de mèimèi chēngzuò gūniáng — Old books refer to the father's younger sister as 'guniang'.
