夹子 — jiāzi

1. clip; clamp (small device for holding things together)

   桌子上的夹子可以夹住纸。 zhuōzi shàng de jiāzi kěyǐ jiāzhù zhǐ — The clip on the table can hold paper.

2. tongs; small hand tool for picking up or gripping food or objects

   厨房里有一把小夹子用来夹食物。 chúfáng lǐ yǒu yībǎ xiǎo jiāzi yònglái jiā shíwù — There is a small tong in the kitchen used to pick up food.

3. folder; a simple binder or file holder

   他把文件放进一个夹子里。 tā bǎ wénjiàn fàngjìn yígè jiāzi lǐ — He put the documents into a folder/clip.

4. wallet (money clip); a small clip used to hold cash or cards

   他把现金夹在小夹子里带着出门。 tā bǎ xiànjīn jiā zài xiǎo jiāzi lǐ dài zhe chūmén — He carried cash clipped in a small money clip.
