   图书馆有一个很大的阅览堂。 túshūguǎn yǒu yígè hěndà de yuèlǎn táng — The library has a very large reading hall.

   他的堂兄弟住在农村，每年过年才见一次。 tā de tángxiōngdì zhù zài nóngcūn měinián guònián cái jiàn yīcì — His paternal cousins live in the countryside; they only meet once a year at New Year.

3. classifier for classes, lectures, lessons (e.g. 一堂课)
