坠 — zhuì

1. to fall (intransitive); to drop down

   他从屋顶坠下了。 tā cóng wūdǐng zhuìxià le — He fell from the roof.

2. to drop (transitive) — cause to fall; to let fall

   她不小心把手机坠到地上了。 tā bùxiǎo xīn bǎ shǒujī zhuì dào dìshàng le — She accidentally dropped her phone on the ground.

3. to weigh down; to pull down (cause to hang or sag)

   项链上的吊坠很有分量。 xiàngliàn shàng de diào zhuì hěn yǒu fènliàng — The pendant on the necklace is quite heavy.
