   我买了三块蛋糕。 wǒ mǎi le sānkuài dàngāo — I bought three pieces of cake.

3. (colloquial) classifier for money and currency units (e.g., '一块钱')

   这个面包只要五块。 zhège miànbāo zhǐyào wǔkuài — This bread only costs five kuai (five yuan).
